Medicare Supplement Plans in Detail
Also known as Medigap Plans, provide predictable costs that are intended to fill in the "gaps" that Original Medicare doesn't cover. Original Medicare is the primary payer covering 80% of Hospital and Doctor services. Supplement plans cover the other 20%.
Medicare Supplement Plans provide consistent premiums, a wide network of doctors and hospitals, travel coverage and more. Medicare Supplements do not include drug coverage. A stand-alone prescription drug plan can be purchased.

Notes:
- Plans C, F and High Deductible F are no longer available to new Medicare eligible persons after Jan 1, 2020.
- The foreign travel emergency limits differ from each plan.
- High Deductible Plans F and G do not pay anything until you have reached your deductible of $2,800 in 2024.
- Insurance carriers can choose which plans they sell. Not all plans are offered from every company.
